My DF and I are honeymooning from August 9th- August 17th. We are staying in the Caribbean Beach Resort. The bumped us up from the All Star Movie on a flex pass (which they basically explained to me as being a special offer due to the fact that the resort has an overabundance of rooms durring that time period). I stayed at the CBR when I was younger (maybe 12 or so ...I'm 26 now). I loved the resort! The problem is that I was reading some recent reviews on the resort and quite a few people where saying that their rooms where dirty, service was terrible, they had bugs in their room, ashes in their sheets, rooms smelling like smoke or mildew and nast maids. I can't beleive this to be true of Disney and I remeber this resort being wonderful. I am aware that the main pool will be under construction, which doesnt bother me as there are many other pools there. I just don't want my honeymoon to be in a hotel that is dirty and has bad service. I would rather stay in a value resort than have a dirty moderate, especially on my honeymoon. So my question is....Has anyone stayed there recently? If so when? Was the service and cleanliness of the hotel okay? Please be honest with me. I want my honeymoon to be perfect. My DF has never beeen to Disney before I want his experience to be as magical as my first was.

It's been probably 8 years since we last stayed there, but I can't imagine all of those things you listed being an ongoing problem! I mean....an accident or oversight can happen, but there is no way that Disney would let one of their resorts have ongoing problems like this that blanket the entire resort.

What a nice thing to be upgraded for your Honeymoon! I'm sure that they will do everything to make sure you have a memorable and magical Honeymoon! If it happens that your room is not up to par, go back to the front desk and complain immediately and demand to be moved! If they tell you they don't have any other rooms available.....tell them to find you one someplace!

Thanks for getting backto me. Yeah, I know what you mean. I couldn't believe my ears when I read all that stuff. I mean...it's Disney!!!!! I will definately take your advice tough and make sure I demand other room or another hotel if they tell me they can't put me in other room. Thanks so much again.
