WL or AKL ? can't decide!!

Hi, here's the question
we are booked for AKL, but really love WL. WL didn't have the view we wanted, they only had the "look into the lobby" view left, so i switched to AKL, figuring something new would be good. My husband and son are sad, because WL feels like home. Now I'm second guessing my AKL reservation (Savanah view) and I can't decide, should we switch back to the WL with the not so great view or stick with the reservation we have at AKL??
What would you do?

Thats a definite tough one (Wish I were in your shoes LOL) - We have always stayed at the WL so I know your feelings there. Unfortunately we never stayed at AKL but have visited it and it is nice. But there is something about the WL since it was our first place we ever stayed and we just love the atmosphere plus being very close to the MK makes it all the more nice.

It seems like you have a love of the WL and I dont want to dismay you from the AKL but I would say (based on your feelings) to go with the Lodge.

My reasoning is this..... You seems to love the place but the only reason you may change resorts is because you didnt get the room type you wanted. If you think about it..... how much actual time do you spend in the room itself.

When we first stayed at the WL we always got the Courtyard view which was awesome but as time went by and the family got bigger we looked for ways to save some $$$ so we started opting for the woods view to save some cash and at first we were a little disappointed because we were given a room with a balcony overlooking the dumpsters and we did express our dislike - the fron desk then immediately moved us to another room and we found the woods view end of the wing. These rooms face directly towards the lake and were awesome!! With the trees you dont have a full view of the lake but it was still nice. I believe the rooms ended with 002 or something. So fourth floor would be room 4002.

Every time we went to the WL after that I faxed a room request about 3 days before we left and we always managed (and lucked out) in getting the same room. But even if I couldnt get that specific room I would take any one of them in the WL anytime since I love the lobby and spend most of my time in there.

We have never stayed at AKL either and the only way I would want to is if we had a Savannah View Room! Since you already have that booked I would say give it a shot!

We LOVE WL and that is probably one of our favorite places to stay, but trying something new is always fun!

Good luck with whatever decision you make! You really can't go wrong no matter what decision it ends up being! Afterall....you'll be at Disney!!!

We have never stayed at either. We always stay at the CSR because we love the resort and are very comfortable there. And couple that with the fact that we have two sons in college and cannot justify the added expense of a deluxe (although DH did ask me if I wanted to stay at Poly or AKL this year for our 25th anniversary, but I said we would stay at CSR since our oldest has decided to now go for his masters after he graduates with his BA in two weeks!). We have visited both resorts and both are quite lovely. However, we would choose the AKL with the savannah view in a heartbeat.
