I thought it would be fun to have a thread where we can post our various Cricut Creations. I thought it would be a good place for others to come for inspiraton or ideas! It can be an entire project, a card, a scrapbook LO or simply the item itself that you cut out!

Please list what cartridge(s) you used so other's will know what to go purchase when they say "I love that!"

Post away!

To get it rolling I'll post a 2 page LO I did and posted on another thread. I've made a couple cards (but don't want those I made them for to see them before they receive them in the mail!) and I've made some other Disney character's that I have yet to take photo's of. I'll try to get those up this weekend!

I used my Cricut for all of it and thought that the film strip was a cute addition for them to add various photos in.

The Cricut cartridges I used were Disney Font and Mickey and Friends.

I haven't had a chance to make a lot yet. I've made the first page, the title page for my august/sept scrapbook, and I made a Princess Aurora. I plan on working some on Saturday, so we'll see if I get any pics up.

Well I took photo's tonight of the ones I already had finished as well as the ones I worked on today. I will go ahead and post everything except for some things I'm sending to Stac (I want her to be able to see them first) and 2 birthday cards that are going to members here. I'll post all of those after they've been sent out and received.

Here's Mushu that I did today. He is on the Disney's Happily Ever After cartridge.

Chip n Dale can be found on the Mickey and Friends cartridge.

disneydreamer98
01-18-2008, 07:34 PM
And of course I've had to make one of my all time favorites Pluto! Pluto is from Mickey and Friends cartridge as well.

disneydreamer98
01-18-2008, 07:36 PM
I did this Beauty and the Beast today. Up until now the hardest one I've cut and had to piece together was Chip n Dale. This one was worse! The itty bitty pieces are a nightmare! Linds...you'll have an easier time with your Expression since you can cut them bigger on that machine. I cut them the largest possible on my machine at 5 inches. I wouldn't recommend going any smaller than 5 inches on any of the Disney characters. I've done one set of Chip n Dale at 4 inches and that wasn't too bad....but definitely easier to work with at 5 inches.

Beauty and the Beast are from the Disney Dreams Come True cartridge.

Here's Donald! He's off of the Mickey and Friends cartridge.

Here are two of the Dwarf's. They are both off of the Happily Ever After cartridge.

Mrs. Pott's I did today and I LOVE how she turned out! I used Stickles on her handle, lid and base. She's from the Disney Dreams Come True cartridge.

disneydreamer98
01-18-2008, 07:41 PM
And last, but not least of what I can post for now is Flounder! I also used Stickles on his fins and I think he turned out pretty cute! He is from The Disney Dreams Come True cartridge as well.

here's the first page I made for my labor day scrapbook. I used the happily ever cartridge and the mickey font cartridge. The castle doesn't have a shadow because I don't have a 12x24 mat yet, and since the castle is 12" a shadow wouldn't cut. I like how it turned out though on the white background.

Decided to use one of my Mickey's and make this card....

disneydreamer98
01-20-2008, 04:47 PM
I was making this Ariel orginally for a card, but she turned out much too big! When I selected to cut her at 5 inches I wasn't thinking since it cuts 5 inches from the top of the tallest section of the character and since this one is laying down it was 5 inches from the tip of her tail and had to cut everything else in proportion so needless to say she will be going on a scrapbook LO! But I LOVE her!

I found the coolest paper at the Scrapbook Zone on Friday and that's what I used for her tail. Along with pealized mint green paper for the end of her tail and pearlized lavendar for her seashell top. Ariel is from the Disney Dreams Come True cartridge.

I took another photo of her from a different angle so you can see the reflector sparkling of the paper!

disneydreamer98
01-20-2008, 05:39 PM
I just got off the phone with T-Nina and she's received her birthday card so I can go ahead and post it now!

I cut Minnie out from the Mickey and Friends cartridge in 5 inches. The "Celebrate" is a stamp done in purple ink and embossed with Polysparkle embossing powder. The silk flowers were simply attached with rhinestone brads.

BTW T-Nina.....I put Minnie on with Hermafixx in case you wanted to remove her and use her in your scrapbook!

I thought I would be happy buying different cartridges than Melissa and trading out with her, but I don't know if that is going to work. I'll be hogging all of them once tax season is over (but then again, she may be burned out by then).

Grumpy was cut from the Happily Ever After cartridge and the "Smile" is from the Going Places cartridge.

The "Happy Tails" actually said "Happy TRails" from the Going Places cartridge. I saw it yesterday and thought how easy it would be to cut the "R" out and use it on a Pluto card! The Pluto and his paw prints are from the Mickey and Friends cartridge.

disneydreamer98
01-24-2008, 03:07 PM
And last but not least for today....Donald.

Donald and the anchor were cut from Mickey and Friends cartridge and the "Smile" is from the Going Places cartridge. If you notice....the anchor rope is tied around Donald's ankle! :grin2:

Okay...after buying the Animal Kingdom cartridge the other day I just HAD to make Amanda a card with a squirrel on it! :laugh4: Not all of you will get the significance of that, but since she doesn't post over here I thought it would be safe to post a pic of it before I send it out to her!

I used the 50 States cartridge for Michigan and Delaware. "Feel the" is from the Tear Drops cartridge "Love" is from Beyond Birthdays cartridge and the squirrel is from the Animal Kingdom cartridge. I used little heart brads to mark our locations and the squirrel's eye. On the inside of the card I just put "Happy Valentines Day!". :laugh4: She's gonna hate it which makes me very happy!

I may send it out a little early just so I can get her reaction! :grin2:

disneydreamer98

I used the Mickey Font cartridge for the "Oh Boy" and Mickey ears.

disneydreamer98

I think this by far is my favorite card I've made yet!!!

I used Paper Dolls cartridge and cut the "Super Hero" pieces at 4" and then I just customized him to look like Dash Incredible! I had to use the little shorts from the elf and make them to look like Dash's and then I used the 1"oval (cut 2....one in black and one in orange) from The George Font and Basic Shapes cartridge to make the Incredible Logo. The City Scape is also from Paper Dolls and the letters are from Mickey Font cut at 1"

I did a test run Dash cut at 5 inches first which Tanner is now playing with because he was too big for the card! I will definitely be making some more of this version!

Here is a shot of the coach up against black to show it better...

I used the Happily Ever After cartridge for the "Happily Ever After" and Cinderella's Coach. "Dreams Come True" was cut from the Dreams Come True cartridge (duh!) and I also cut out "Disney" in the Walt font for her off of the Mickey and Friends cartridge. Depends on what I'm embossing on. On the Minnie Mouse card I made for T-Nina I used purple stamp ink with polysparkle embossing powder. On the card I made for Stac....I just used my Zig glue pen on the letters (which were cut out of cardstock) and then added clear embossing powder. I don't think I've posted any cards yet that I've done with clear stamp ink. There really is no right or wrong way to do it Lara....just whatever works best for you!

Here is the card I sent to T-Nina and Ed when Savanna was born.

I used the Doodlecharms cartridge to cut the baby face out and the Tear Drop Cartridge for the words "Sugar and Spice". The words were enhanced with Stickles and I used chalk on the face of the baby. The dot on the "i" is a rhinestone brad.

I made a couple cards yesterday, but I can only post one of them at this time...

I used Happily Ever After cart to cut Cinderella with Prince Charming (cut at 5 inches) and the double layered heart (cut at 1 1/4"). I wanted to use the ivory colored Bazzill Bling paper and do tone on tone. So I only cut the base of the characters and didn't paper piece anything else on it. The picture doesn't show up very good because of the sheen on the paper (so I took a couple shots from different angles. I used pop dots on Cindy and Charming as well as the heart. The "Congratulations" was done with gold embossing powder.

Here is the birthday card I made for my friend Dawn today.

I used Beyond Birthdays cart for the "Happy Birthday" and the patterned paper at the bottom of the card is by Around the Block. I simply chalked the top part of the white card to give it a little background for the matted letters.

I was messing around making a couple of different characters today and came up with this play on words....

Mickey and Minnie were cut from Mickey and Friends at 4" and the words "Have a mice day" were cut with Mickey Font cart at 1". I used a white paint marker for the dots on Minnie's dress.

Flounder was cut from Dreams Come True cartridge and I once again used some Stickles on him to make him sparkle. I also used little pop dots under his fins and tail to give him a little dimension. The background paper was Diseny paper I had picked up at Joann's a long time ago and I decided on vellum to mirror the bubbles on the paper to put the "Happy Birthday" stamp on. I attached it with a Stickles covered brad.

As I said in the post with the Dopey card Stac...it's "Stickles". Stickles is a brand of glitter adhesive, it comes in many different colors in little squeeze bottles.

Thanks, the boys love their tickets!

I use Zig glue pens with chisel tip. I wouldn't use anything else! I use my Mrs. Grossman tweezers (which is probably my number 1 tool!) to hold the piece so I can apply to glue to the back and place it right where I want it!

Here you go Lara! All of the Disney characters start out with a black colored base, then you make the cuts of all the other colors and adhere them to the base. I cut Cogsworth out and although he doesn't have as many itty bitty pieces as the Princesses do, it will give you an idea of how the paper piecing goes.

You can look at the black base Lara and see where there are lines on it. That is pretty much all you have to guide you. It kinda does the outline of each cut out piece. I use Mrs. Grossman tweezer to hold all the little pieces, flip them over, dab them with the Zig chisel tip glue pen and put them into place. Some of them are more time consuming than others. Yesterday I did a Jasmine and Aladdin on their flying carpet and it was one of the more difficult and time consuming ones I've done so far. I should have a pic of it up later today.

I didn't get the memo on that.

I gotta get me one of those, since Melissa, who TOLD me NOT to buy them because she would SHARE, isn't planning on forking them over any time soon.

It's not my fault that you aren't coming to the crop this weekend!

And that Mickey card is just too cute, I love how you made his pants green!

Thanks Lara!

Hmmm......let's see. T-Nina had made me the most beautiful card I had ever received, UNTIL I got Lara's in the mail! :grin2:

I am the queen of using the multiquote!

There is a difference between having no life and being able to multi, multi, multi task! I believe you proved about a week ago with the IRS that multitasking is not an option for you! :wink3:

Yes it is. You could have scheduled it AFTER tax season instead of in the MIDDLE of tax season!

Stac posted that she received the St. Patrick's Day card I sent her so I can post it now! "Irish at" was cut from Tear Drop cart and the heart was cut from George cart. Mickey was cut at 4 inches from Mickey and Friends cart. The shamrocks are foam board glitter stickers from Joann's.

BEAUTIFUL ( AS ALWAYS:applause: )

I,m curios..........when you do all these cards ..............I can,t make out by looking at them .................are they like a postcard..............or do they open up like a xmas/birthday card that you can write inside....????
Just wondered:wave2:

They open like a regular card. If you look closely at the Mickey, you will see that he is mounted on a plain white card. Carefully examine the edge and you can see the shadow where Melissa has it propped open like a tent to take the picture.

They do open like a regular card, but I did not 'prop it open like a tent' to take the picture. I mount it on the wall (and usually I add some adhesive to the inside of the card to keep the front of the card flat against the wall...didn't do it on this one), take the picture, then crop the pic once I've added it to my laptop.

I made a ribbon keeper using my Crop-A-Dile about a month ago. I haven't posted a pic of it cause I was going to make one as a gift for SOMEONE! I'll have to share it now that you have shared yours once I get a photo taken of it.

Yes I did! I am going to try it in different greens till I find one I like.
The green I used had too much yellow in it so I am going to try to find a green with some brown/black tones in it.

Mickey and Minnie were cut from Mickey and Friends cart at 5"

The heart was cut at 1" from George and Shapes cart

The metal plate says "True Love"

The inside of the card had a little poem in it, but I can't find right now where I put it!

Here is an Easter card I made for a challenge at DWT

The bunny is cut from Doodlecharms and the "Hoppy Easter" was cut from Cricut Keystone cart.
