Off to the Wilderness Lodge

Okay Im going to start this now because yes Im at work:inquisitive: the :whip: drivers anywho. Im really excited because I never been to the Wilderness Lodge and Im going with a very special someone in my life right now. I will take a ton of pictures of course and share with you guys. It so funny Im more excited with this trip then I was when I went this January. Oh well Im leaving work today at 10:00am and heading to the airport around 12:00pm our flight leaves at 2:00pm should get to MCO around 4:56. Heading to checkin and then off to the MK which is always a must in my family. Talk you guys when I get back.

Okay Im back and let me just say that I now have a favorite Resort and yes I left the joint in one piece :laugh4:. Okay this is going to be report with pictures and words so please bare with typos because Im at work and trying to fit this in between work.


As you all know I started the day at work it ****s but hey had to go in for a few hours. I left work at 10:30am and went to bank, stop at my house since my Uncle wanted to borrow my car and drive us to the airport. Then we drove to pick up my friend and it was off to Newark Liberty International Airport. Our flight left amazily on time we were supposet to get into Orlando at 4:56pm but got in at around 4:30pm. :yahoo: When we got off the plane I was like Im home again of course my friend is looking at me strange the first of many :laugh4: but he got it after about 4 hours. Well anyways we headed over to Magical Express counter on the A side to find out it been move to the B side. Now I was just in Orlando in January I dont remember ME being on the B side. So we board our bus no video this time but that find because I have seen that ME video a ton of times and turst me it gets old quick. Anyway we are heading to the resort and as soon as I see the Walt Disney World sign I like to scream strange look from my friend again:laugh4: . Anyway we are heading to the Magic Kingdom since the Wilderness Lodge is a MK Resort as soon as we pull into the resort my heart skipped 4 beats I just knew I had a heartattack. Let me just say there are no words to describe or even give this resort justice. The place was just WOW!! I say to my friend it looks like I wont be staying at the Ploy anymore ( he so didnt get:laugh4: poor man)

Oh yeah when we went to the room it was nice but the view was crazy. We had a room on the first floor and it was a view of the bushes. Now when I booked the trip I requested a courtyard view that would look upon the pool and lake and that what we paid for. So I went to the front desk and explain I really like the room but is this what we paid for. The CM explain to me that the side we were on is a courtyard view according to the hotel lay out. Well I told her I didnt really think the view we got was worth the money. She offer to change our room but I told her no because we were already settled in and I have been through changing my room down in Disney before and it better just to **** it up and keep the room. But what did happen was what Disney do best. The manager said since I wasnt happy with the view and we didnt want to move they would charge me the standard room rate instead of the courtview rate that we paid for and that the difference would be return to me in cash at the end of our stay. Now that what I call Disney magic.

So after getting that taking care of I took some pictures of the resort and then we headed over to the MK. We only had 3 hours but it a tradtion in my family that we step foot in the MK first before any parks.

Okay Day 2

Today was the day we were meeting up with Paul and heading over to the Animal Kingdom and the studios. Everything was great until my lovely phone went to he@$ . Well let just say had little to no signal in the AK and I was pissed. Anyways we got there just in time for the open ceremony and I was chomping at the bit to fly over to Aisa so my friend could get on EE. Once it was over we went flying over to Aisa and my friend is asking me why are you knocking over little kids to get to this ride. Being that he a newbie I had to excuse him and explain to him that everyone makes a mad dash over to this side of the park because it the newest one. He still didnt get it and he suggested that we could of walk and get fastpass. He such a newbie:laugh4: anyway we did ge fastpasses but the time to be back was already at 10:30 which was okay because we got on line after that and wait about maybe 5 min if not less. We got to sit in the front and he was amazed at the whole ride and he love the yeti. He even convince himself that he touch the yeti:inquisitive: but hey who Im I to spoil his fun. So we got off the ride and I got a phone call well here is the first of many missed and dropped calls. I called the number back and ask who is this and the person on the other end with the smart mouth (T-Nina) say you dont know who you called.I try to walk and talk to T on our way over to Dinoland but I lost her. Sorry T try numerous of time to get a dang signal and it wasnt working. I look like the verizon man holding up my phone trying to get a signal saying do you here me now:laugh4: Anyway I did get a little bit to send Paul a text to let him know I got crappy signal and that we were in Dinoland just incase I didn't get his phone call. So next went to go get on Dinosaur which my friend loved so much and since there was no wait we got on it twice. I didnt buy the picture this time because as much as I been on this ride it still scares the crap out of me and I have walk through it with the lights on. I did found out something about my friend though he loves Dinosaurs I couldnt get him out of the gift shop.He was like a crack whore in a crack house:laugh4: So after a 2nd ride and dragging this man out of the gift shop we head back through Dinoland got on the PW and play one of the games and then headed back over to EE.At this time I was able to get Paul who informed me he was running a little late and he should be there shortly and to meet him over at it Tough to be a Bug. So we rode EE again and then I got another phone call stating we had a problem. Let just say some unwanted guest where heading into the park that day and we had to dip them(Only certain people on here know to whom Im refering to and Im leaving it at that)So we finally caught up with Paul after hugs and laughing and explaining to my friend why we must do the I spy thing we got on it Tough to be a Bug and headed out of the Parks and over to the Studios. So Paul drove over to the studios Mandy called I yelled hey to Mandy and we were off to my favorite park. So we get there and first thing we do is head to Hollywood Blvd and trying figure out should we get fastpasses for RR or TT amazingly the wait at the RR was not long at all so we got on that first. My friend was very impressed with the take off of the ride and he love it. Next over to the TT and we had some funny moment. Well the first time we rode ( we did this backed to backed)my friend proclaims in the middle of the ride when it very quite he said Oh h no they are not dropping us in the dark. Well Paul and I just die it was so funny. Also when we were dropping we saw some purple figure thingy and me and Paul was like what was that. Not sure what the heck it was but it the first time I ever saw and Paul to. Second time we got back on it the ride kinda of stops with us in the dark and Pauls goes ( keep in mind no one saying anything on the ride)Oh no that not good well everyones laughs and one man on the rides goes please do say that he couldnt take us getting stuck and also for the life of me I couldn't figure out why my friends foot kept ending up on mind everytime we drop:inquisitive: :laugh4: Next we had over to the Great Movie Ride and Paul whom is a Castmember wont us to ride with one of his friends Kristan so he went in to see if she was there why he was looking for her. Me and the man did some shopping under the hat. I of course was getting my pins and he want the SM hat that lights up. So Paul found his friend and we headed through the exit (it so nice to know a cast member) and got to ride in the front and we got the gangster part. She did an awesome job. After the ride we said our goodbyes to Paul friend and headed over to my fave show Lights Motor Action. My friend loved it me and Paul on the other hand was fighting to stay awake. We both love this show but I think all the walking catches up with you and your sitting for a long time so that what makes you sleepy. When that was over we head over to the backlot tour and got to see the some costumes from Pirate and Bridge to Tertabhtia and some the Princess dresses. After that we headed to Star Tours were one of the Bounty Hunters for EP2 was out and of course it had to be a woman Bounty Hunter and of course being the man my friend is had to get a picture. After the picture we were going to ride Star Tours but we had a PS time at Hollywood and Vinefor the Fantasmic dinner package (a must) so we got off the line grab a couple of fastpasses and headed to our seating. Paul had to leave us at this point. So we hug him goodbye and told him we see him and Mandy in October for Halloween. Okay Im going to end it at this because there is a lot more for this day. Thanks Ron I really like the room but like I said I just didnt feel that the view we got was worth the price. I know now for my trip in October to use your suggestion thanks:thumbsup:

Okay let get this day done. So after we ate at the Hollywood and Vine we had decided to head back to the resort before Fantasmic started. Wrong thing to do with a video game junkie. Akili yes that his name (HAPPY MELISSA) wanted to go to the arcade and I told him we had just enough time to change our clothes and sit down for a second and then we had to get back to the park. Well he wasn’t really happy with me. I didn’t care I told him before we left if he couldn’t hang with the big dogs stay on the porch. Anywho we got back for Fantasmic and just in time. He loved the show. He kept telling me to be quite because I kept telling him what was coming next. It so hard when you take somebody who doesn’t go as much as you and you try so hard not to spoil the surprises. But all in all he enjoys the show. So after the show we decided to head over to ECOPT or extra magic hours. We took the boat from the studios over and I was pointing out the entire different resorts stop on the way. Mistake number 2 because he kept asking is this part of Disney and is this part of Disney when I had clearly stated that the only hotel we stop at that was not officially part of Disney was the Dolphin and Swan and that the Yacht and Beach club and the Boardwalk was. He drove me nuts. Mistake number 3 he saw the Boardwalk and lost his mind because being a man he saw the ESPN sport bar and ask why we didn’t stay at this hotel he could of caught the NBA finals in which I stated I know that why I booked the Wilderness Lodge so you wouldn’t know this place existed and beside we didn’t have time. He was not laughing but I was. Well we finally arrived at EPOCT and enter through International gateway and first stop was to get some fish and chips in England I was so thinking about you Rich. So next we head toward the land to ride Soarin but the wait was like 50 minutes and there was of course no fastpasses. So we got on Living with the Land which mistake number 4. Akili fell asleep she just didn’t get it. I on the other hand thought it was cool considering I never had ridden it at night and when he was awake he just looked at me strange. Oh well can’t please everybody. So next we headed over to Future World East to get on Test Track and Mission Space. TT was already a 40 minute wait but that must have been wrong because we went in the standby line and waited maybe 15 minutes if not shorter. Mistake number 5 let just say the next time we go back down together I now know what to avoid with this man. Well we get on TT and of course he loved it disappointed that it wasn’t longer but still all in all love it. We went to see the picture and this one covering my face with his arm. How dare he do that? So after laughing at me (here the 5th mistake) we come out into the car showroom and his mouth dropped. Another thing I learned about him he loves cars. Crack habit number two. He was like a woman in a show store looking at all the cars. Now mind you he didn’t even get to the gift shop which was a mess in it self he picking up the model cars and screaming oooh I got get this one no I got get this one. Well after 3 minutes of that he finally decided on one and headed over to Mission Space. We get there and I’m sure most of you know that they give out cards now and apparently if you don’t have a card they won’t let you on the ride. So of course we get Orange team for the more intense training. Akili kept asking me what the whole card thing was all about. I was expaling to him that after so many bad things had a occur since the ride was open they decided to give you an option of the original version or the less intense training. Well after we rode it he thought that it was an awesome ride and still couldn’t understand how people got sick or even die from the ride. So after that we headed back to the hotel so we could get ready to actually come back to EPCOT the next day to due the rest of the park and later that day the Magic Kingdom.

Jer, just make sure that he's in the know, and make sure he at least watches The Lion King, Finding Nemo, Peter Pan, Snow White and the 7 dwarfs, and maybe 40 others.

The boys received a lovely package in the mail yesterday! :yes: Parker was thrilled with his Pirate dollars and Tanner had to take a bath immediately with his Bear in the Big Blue House characters!
